Some love stories travel across borders, and Sigrid and James are one of them. They came all the way from London to get married in Athens, a city that holds a special place in Sigrid’s heart. With family roots that connect her to Greece, choosing Athens for their destination wedding felt natural, meaningful, and full of emotion.
Since the couple adores the charm and vibrancy of downtown Athens, we selected the National Garden for their pre-wedding photography session, one of the most iconic and peaceful locations right in the center of the city. With its lush greenery, quiet pathways, and soft morning light filtering through the trees, it creates the perfect atmosphere for capturing intimate moments full of warmth and authenticity.

Even though the session took place in spring, the morning greeted us with a crisp chill in the air. But the beauty of pre-wedding photography is that the weather becomes part of the story. Wrapped in gentle light and a little morning coolness, we wandered through the gardens, letting the surroundings guide every frame.
Our slow walk gave us the ideal opportunity to talk through the final details of their wedding day, everything from timing and ceremony flow to small personal touches that matter so much. Between conversations, we enjoyed our coffee, laughed, and allowed the couple to relax into the moment. These in-between pauses are where the true magic happens: when couples forget the camera and simply connect with each other.
